Lion - Spring 2019 - Message From The Director

Lincoln alumni continue to change the trajectory of our present and future through investment in our students. This past year has produced several noteworthy moments on campus and within the community.

Alumni and students fashionably converged on the campus this summer to brunch in style at the Chairlady’s Garden Party, joined other Lions for Homecoming and celebrated Lincoln’s Women in Wellness awardees. Rekindling of relationships between Greeks old and new took center stage at the plots and reunion classes found themselves restoring fond rituals. Alumni and the Student Government Association held others captive with a professional alumni symposium; panelists shared their journeys to success and offered comprehensive solutions to the student audience.

In addition, alumni demonstrated Lincoln Pride this past fall on Giving Tuesday Day by surpassing our anticipated goal of $25,000 by ultimately raising over $80,000 to support student programs and services.

As we embark on our 160th commencement this spring, we also celebrate the 160th anniversary of Lincoln University’s first alumni. Thousands of Lions have changed the cultural, political and scientific landscape of our world. Lincoln alums are the authors of many firsts and continue to make profound measures in areas that enhance the fiber of our global landscape.

We look forward to welcoming you in the next few weeks as we celebrate the 4’s and 9’s during this year’s reunion. Lincoln University will honor the 50th graduating class of 1969, celebrate professional alumni during the annual alumni banquet and witness our newest alumni at commencement this May. On behalf of all of us … Looking forward to your presence.
